CnA was incorporated in Summit County, Colorado. on December 7, 2017, on the 76th anniversary of The Attack on Pearl Harbor, by a group of 12 founding directors from nine different locations, led by Rii & Ellyn Sabby,
CnA is the fourth legal entity that R&E have created, and the second nonprofit. Their for-profit activities include a 39-year Wall Street joint venture, 30 of which were spent creating and running an SEC Registered Investment Advisory firm, Investment Strategies, Inc.
The Sabby's prior nonprofit efforts include the formation of a Colorado nonprofit corporation, Tri-Lakes Concerned Citizens Coalition, Inc. in 1994, and a self-funded altruistic effort, called CONNECTIONS by rs, since 1992. Unsolicited grants, of all types, shapes and monetary sizes, have been made to hundreds of grantees, known and unknown, over the past 25-years.
R&E have also been partners in the life venture known as marriage for over 45-years. They have two incredible children, an engineer and a medical doctor, and three, 'never-a-dull- moment', grandchildren. Their passion for the great outdoors brought them to Colorado 40-years ago, and they have loved living every minute in their adopted home state, with family life at the epicenter of their lives. Incorporating CnA in the majestic beauty of Summit County creates the perfect foundation.
CnA brings together the passions of a lifetime for R&E, and CnA's activities represent, in part, their 'payback' for the great privilege of living in Colorado. The simplicity and universal inclusiveness of CnA's public outreach are its biggest appeal. And the need to educate and facilitate compassionate behavior among individuals and groups have never been greater than now.
The 10 other founding directors come from a cross-section of life and location. Their areas of expertise include homemaking, medical and legal services, pharmacology, technology, management and business ownership. While diverse in age, occupation, and lifestyle, these 10 share a commitment to living a compassionate life, and in helping others, as well.
CnA is an all-volunteer, non-religous, nonprofit outreach effort.
The following priorities to guide CnA's operations were offered and approved by the 12 founding directors, and included in CnA's organizational minutes on December 7, 2017:
(a) 100% of all donations and grant monies will go towards strand materials, and related;
(b) There will be no initial salaries of any sort going to anyone;
(c) All labor will be from volunteers;
(d) There will be no travel or meal allowances; in sum, zero overhead cost;
(e) All income and expenses for materials will be fully disclosed, via IRS filings;
(f) Meditation strands will be given without any cost or obligation to all interested parties.
In addition, CnA's philosophy and operational approach are solidly anchored upon the principle of pay it forward, While there is no cost or obligation to anyone receiving CnA's custom meditation strands, if someone feels compelled to do something, then we suggest to pay it forward in any manner that works for that person; and, to make their compassionate act even more spiritually powerful, we suggest to do so without regard as to receiving credit. Let the empathetic action alone be its own source of value.
If a person or entity receiving CnA's meditation strands, or other interested parties, wants to pay it forward by helping us with the costs of making our strands for the benefit of someone else, we graciously accept unsolicited donations. You can be assured that your tax-deductible contribution (see disclosure note), regardless of size, will be treated with the highest fiduciary standards, in strict accordance with CnA's stated founding principles and operating guidelines.
Furthermore, people receiving our strand packets, as well as donors, will not be placed onto any form of a mailing list, nor will we ever solicit a contributor, directly or indirectly, as is common, especially for charities; this out of total respect to anyone willing to be part, in any way, of our outreach efforts.
